Meet Kara Lairson, LPCA: Kentucky Therapist


Mental Health Therapist

Kara is a licensed professional counseling associate (LPCA) providing therapy services to adults both individually and couples therapy in Kentucky. Kara currently provides therapy both in person at the Lexington, KY office and virtually/online throughout Kentucky.

Kara is currently providing therapy for individuals struggling with issues that may include anxiety-related disorders, borderline personality disorder, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, depression, helping clients work through life changes/transition or searching to find their sense of self or identity, addiction, and more. Kara also enjoys helping individuals and couples improve communication and other related issues impacting relationships, both monogamous and ethically non-monogamous.

Modalities Kara Use: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person Center

Insurances Kara Accepts: Anthem Commercial (select plans). Kentucky -Aetna, Humana, Passport Medicaid Plans. Self-Pay and sliding scale options are included.

Education

Current: Enrolled in earning my Ph.D in Counseling Education and Supervision at National Louis University.

Completed my master’s degree in 2023 with the Chicago School for Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
